15-Year-Old Hit by Car While Running to Bus Stop in Bradenton

A 15-year-old student was struck by a vehicle Wednesday morning while attempting to cross 15th Street East near 13th Avenue, according to the Bradenton Police Department.

The incident occurred around 8:20 a.m. as the teenager ran across the road to a school bus stop. Authorities say the student was “clipped” by an oncoming vehicle.

Emergency responders arrived on the scene and transported the student to All Children’s Hospital. The teen was reported to be alert and in stable condition, though the extent of the injuries has not been disclosed.

According to Google Maps data, there are no marked crosswalks where the incident occurred. Police have not indicated whether any citations were issued, and the crash remains under investigation.
