15-Year-Old Identified as Victim in Bradenton Homicide
Bradenton police have identified the victim of an overnight shooting on 11th Avenue East as 15-year-old Kayvon Dunbar. Officers responded to reports of gunfire at 11:28 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of 11th Avenue East and found Dunbar outside a home with a gunshot wound. Despite immediate first aid, he later died at the hospital early Tuesday morning.
The Bradenton Police Department and the Manatee Homicide Investigative Unit continue to investigate the circumstances of the shooting. Detectives are processing evidence and gathering witness statements as they work to determine what led to the deadly incident.
