15-Year-Old Parrish High Student Injured in Morning Crash on Campus
A 15-year-old student at Parrish High School was injured in a crash involving a vehicle just after 7 a.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Authorities said the student was transported by helicopter to Blake Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Few additional details about the incident were immediately released as troopers continue their investigation.
Information shared on social media by an eyewitness indicated the student was riding an e-bike through a crosswalk when a vehicle turning right struck the rider. The eyewitness also suggested that sun glare may have contributed to visibility issues at the time of the crash, though that detail has not been confirmed by investigators.
The Florida Highway Patrol has not announced whether any charges or citations are pending.
