23-Year-Old Man Killed in Early Morning Shooting in Bradenton
A 46-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting early Sunday in Bradenton that left a 23-year-old man dead.
Detectives with the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office announced that Chadrick Hunter has been taken into custody and charged with second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The victim has been identified as Rickie Riddle III, 23. Deputies reported that Riddle and Hunter were acquainted and had been spending time together at a residence in the 1400 block of 34th Avenue East with several other individuals prior to the shooting.
Deputies initially responded to the scene at approximately 3:45 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting with injuries. Life-saving measures were performed until emergency medical personnel arrived, but Riddle was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities previously stated the shooting was not a random incident and that all individuals involved had been identified and accounted for. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
