The State College of Florida Foundation will host its 26th Annual Scholarship Luncheon on Friday, October 30, 2026, bringing the community together to celebrate the transformative impact of scholarships on students at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF).
Sponsored by Suncoast Credit Union, this year’s luncheon will take place from 11am to 1pm at Michael’s on East, 1212 East Ave. S., Sarasota. Inspired by the theme “The Game of Life,” the event will highlight how scholarships help students overcome obstacles, pursue their educational goals, and build brighter futures. Community members are invited to attend and support student scholarships and programs. Tickets are $100.
The luncheon will feature performances by the SCF Presidential String Quartet, personal stories from student scholarship recipients, a scholarship pinning ceremony, and a paddle raise to provide additional support for student scholarships. Guests can also connect with scholarship recipients and hear firsthand how donor generosity is making a difference in their lives.
At the heart of the celebration are the students whose determination and accomplishments demonstrate the lasting impact of educational support. Our goal is to raise awareness and funds to help ease the financial burden of higher education as scholarships give students greater opportunities to focus on their education, pursue their ambitions and create new possibilities for themselves and their families.
“Scholarships do more than help students pay for college. They open doors, create opportunities, and change the trajectory of lives,” said Cassandra Holmes, vice president and executive director of the SCF Foundation. “The Annual Scholarship Luncheon celebrates the generosity of our donors and the remarkable students whose futures are brighter because of their support.”
