27th Annual Manatee County Stand Down to Bring Services and Support for Veterans and Community
Turning Points will host the 27th Annual Manatee County Stand Down on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to noon at the Manatee County Fairgrounds, 1303 17th Street West in Palmetto.
This free event is designed to connect veterans, families, and individuals in need with essential resources that promote stability, health, and empowerment. More than 50 agencies will be on-site, providing access to social services, healthcare, and specialized support for veterans. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a career fair featuring local job opportunities.
One of the highlights of the day will be the Veterans Amnesty Court, which has already helped dismiss more than $100,000 in unpaid traffic fees and fines. Additional services will include medical and dental screenings, eye exams, haircuts, hygiene items, and assistance with obtaining Florida identification and driver’s licenses.
Beyond services, the Stand Down also offers community connection and fun, with live music, food, raffles, and games and activities for children. A free shuttle service to the fairgrounds will be available from the Downtown Bradenton Transit Station, located at 1301 6th Avenue West.
Organizers emphasize that the event’s impact grows through participation, sponsorship, and volunteer support. Together, the community can make a meaningful difference by providing hope, stability, and new opportunities for those in need.
