The 28th Annual Manatee County Stand Down Community Event will bring more than 50 community agencies together Saturday, Nov. 7, offering free resources and services to veterans, individuals and families.
The event will be held from 8 a.m. to noon at the Manatee County Fairgrounds, 1303 17th St. W. in Palmetto. The Stand Down is free and open to everyone. The last entry for services will be at 11:15 a.m.
Organized by Turning Points, the annual event provides access to a wide range of assistance in one location. Services will include veterans services, medical and dental screenings, eye exams, haircuts, hygiene items, transportation assistance and help obtaining a Florida identification card or driver’s license.
Attendees will also have access to an Amnesty Court, career fair, lunch, children’s games and activities, raffles and live entertainment.
Free shuttle transportation to the Manatee County Fairgrounds will be available from the Downtown Bradenton Transit Station, 1301 Sixth Ave. W. in Bradenton.
