51st Street West to Close for Blake Hospital Watermain Project

Drivers in west Bradenton should prepare for a temporary road closure beginning Monday, Aug. 10, as Manatee County enters the final phase of the Blake Hospital Watermain Improvement Project.

51st Street West will be closed between 18th Avenue West and 21st Avenue West from Monday, Aug. 10, through Friday, Aug. 21.

During the closure, motorists will be directed around the work zone using 18th Avenue West, 43rd Street West and 26th Avenue West.

Local traffic will continue to have access along 21st Avenue West throughout the project.

Motorists traveling through the area are encouraged to allow additional time, use caution near the construction zone and follow all posted detour and traffic-control signs.

The closure is part of Manatee County’s Blake Hospital Watermain Improvement Project, with the upcoming work representing the project’s final phase.
