9th Avenue West Closed for Utility Inspections Through Thursday
A portion of 9th Avenue West in Bradenton will be closed during daytime hours this week while city crews conduct underground infrastructure inspections.
The City of Bradenton said 9th Avenue West between 21st Street West and 26th Street West will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, Monday, Aug. 17, through Thursday, Aug. 20.
City crews will use the closure to perform underground inspections of sanitary sewer and stormwater conveyance systems in the area.
Detour signs will be posted to direct traffic around the closure. Motorists traveling through the area are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible and allow additional time for their trips.
Drivers who must travel near the work zone should use caution and watch for crews, equipment and changing traffic patterns.
The roadway is expected to reopen to traffic outside the scheduled work hours.
