Drivers traveling through west Bradenton should prepare for a temporary road closure on Monday as city crews complete utility-related road work.
Ninth Avenue West will be closed in both directions between 23rd Street West and 26th Street West on Monday, Sept. 14, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The City of Bradenton said the closure is necessary while crews perform utility cut patching along the roadway.
Motorists will not be able to travel through the affected section of Ninth Avenue West during the work. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes, including nearby east-west streets, and allow additional travel time when passing through the area.
The closure is expected to last through 4 p.m., with the roadway reopening after the work is completed.
