American Airlines to Launch Nonstop Miami Service from SRQ This Fall
Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) is adding a new destination to its flight roster. Starting November 3, American Airlines will begin nonstop service between SRQ and Miami International Airport (MIA).
The new route will operate daily on a 76-seat Embraer 175 jet. Flights are scheduled to depart SRQ at 6:30 a.m. and arrive in Miami at 7:40 a.m. Return flights will depart Miami at 9:30 p.m. and arrive back in Sarasota at 10:40 p.m. Officials note that flight times are subject to change.
This marks American Airlines’ sixth nonstop route from SRQ, joining existing service to Charlotte, Washington, D.C., Dallas/Fort Worth, Chicago, and Philadelphia.
With Miami serving as a central hub for travel to Latin America and the Caribbean, the new route is expected to open additional international connection opportunities for local travelers.
Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport currently serves 11 airlines with a total of 68 nonstop destinations.
