Anna Maria Community Farmers Market Finds New Home at Roser Church
The Anna Maria Community Farmers Market began its 2025–2026 season on October 7 in a new location, moving to the grounds of Roser Memorial Community Church at 512 Pine Avenue.
The weekly market, previously held at The Center of Anna Maria Island and City Pier Park, will now take place every Tuesday through April from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., weather permitting. The church’s shaded lot between its main building and Lake La Vista provides a spacious and scenic new setting, with vendor tents arranged along the parking lot lanes.
Thirty-nine vendors participated in opening day, offering a wide range of local goods — from fresh produce and baked goods to handmade crafts and jewelry. Longtime vendors Milagro’s Produce and TJ’s Produce, both part of the market since its 2018 debut, returned with tables full of fruits and vegetables. Other offerings included dog treats, honey, seafood, art, and organic juices, while 15-year-old cellist Kal Hyun Burgess-Hicks of North Carolina provided live music.
The market’s move follows last year’s disruptions caused by Hurricanes Helene and Milton, which left City Pier Park unavailable after it was used for storm recovery and as a temporary post office. During the offseason, Devinne “Dev” Whittaker, co-owner of DBTB Juice Bar & Bakery and a former vendor, led efforts to relocate the market to the Roser Church property.
The change was well received by vendors and visitors alike. TJ’s Produce owner Tillman Thomas noted that the market’s season has been adjusted to start earlier in October and conclude in April to avoid the summer heat. Returning favorites such as Dynasty Guacamole, Hahn’s Handcrafted Lemonade, and Mr. Fun Guy joined new vendors like Spare Kitchen and Sol Sipsters, adding fresh variety to the lineup.
The tranquil church grounds, abundant shade, and renewed community energy have created an inviting new home for one of Anna Maria Island’s favorite weekly traditions. The market will continue to feature local growers, artisans, and small businesses every Tuesday through the spring.
