Artist Guy Harvey and Bealls, Inc. honor local student artists

Renowned artist, conservationist and entrepreneur Dr. Guy Harvey teamed with Bealls, Inc, at the store on West Manatee Avenue Saturday to honor two students who take part in the Guy Harvey Academy of Arts and Science at Anna Maria Elementary and King Middle.

The students - Claudia Araujo of Anna Maria, and Maykyla McDade of King - had their artwork displayed on Bealls tumblers sold at the store Saturday. They and their families also got to spend time speaking privately with Dr. Harvey. Bealls topped the morning off by donating $2,000 to each school.
