Arts Alive 2025 to Honor Community Arts Leaders and Showcase Student Talent
The Manatee Arts Education Council (MAEC) and the Manatee Education Foundation will host the 6th Annual Arts Alive Celebration on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Manatee Performing Arts Center in Bradenton. This highly anticipated event will recognize outstanding contributions to arts education while celebrating the artistic achievements of local students.
The evening will begin with a reception from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM, featuring live music, entertainment, and a silent student artwork auction. Guests will enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres while browsing unique student art pieces available for purchase. The main program will commence at 6:45 PM, highlighting performances by K-12 student artists and the presentation of Young Artist Scholarships in partnership with the School District of Manatee County.
A key part of the event will be the recognition of five community leaders who have made significant contributions to arts education:
Amy & Owen Bradley – Dale Jensen Music Education Award
Cheryl Carty – Kelly Wynn Woodland Community Arts Education Award
Ken Erickson – Dr. Sherry Lawrence Theatre Education Award
Darrell King – Dudley Leigh Arts Education Leadership Award
Barbara Tapley-Kenney – Distinguished Manatee County Alumni Award
Tickets for the event are $35 and can be purchased at MAECarts.org.
