Beloved K9 Diesel Passes Away After Seven Years of Service with Manatee County Sheriff's Office
The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the loss of one of its dedicated K9 officers, Diesel, who passed away unexpectedly on October 31, 2024, after an unforeseen medical issue. Diesel, an 8-year-old Belgian Malinois, had faithfully served alongside his handler, Deputy Mike Gerholdt, since joining the force in July 2017.
