Body Found in Burning Vehicle at Parrish Park Under Investigation

PARRISH — The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a body was discovered inside a burning vehicle early Wednesday at Fort Hamer Park.

Deputies were called to the park’s boat ramp parking lot around 2:20 a.m. after reports of a vehicle on fire. Once the flames were extinguished, investigators found a person deceased inside.

According to the sheriff’s office, initial findings show no evidence of foul play. Authorities have not released the identity of the individual, and the investigation remains ongoing.
