The Boys & Girls Club will welcome families to a Back-to-School Ice Cream Social on Friday, Aug. 21, offering parents an opportunity to learn more about resources available to local children and families.
The event will begin at 5 p.m. at the Palmetto Club, 1600 10th St. W., Palmetto, FL 34221.
The social is designed to connect parents with Big Brothers Big Sisters and other community partners while providing information about available resources and programs offered to Boys & Girls Club members.
In addition to providing information for families, the event will feature ice cream and a raffle. Three prizes will be awarded during the evening.
The Back-to-School Ice Cream Social comes as students across the area begin another school year and gives families an opportunity to connect with organizations that provide mentoring, youth programming and other forms of community support.
The event is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 21, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Palmetto Club, 1600 10th St. W. in Palmetto.
