Braden River High Marching Band Honored for State Championship Victory
The Braden River High School Marching Band of Pirates received special recognition from the School Board for their outstanding achievement in claiming the Class 2A State Championship at the Florida Marching Band competition on November 16, 2024, in Palm Beach.
This prestigious annual competition showcases high school bands' musical and marching talents from across the state. Braden River High's performance stood out among its peers, earning the coveted top spot in their class.
Band Director Cliff Dawson proudly introduced the key student leaders who contributed to the band’s success. Among those present were Emma Hubley and Alexa Macke, both Drum Majors; Jared Rodriguez, Percussion Captain; Jonathan Pavone, Brass Captain; and Sidney Foller, Color Guard Captain.
The School Board celebrated the band's hard work and dedication, highlighting their achievement as a testament to the commitment and talent of both the students and their director. This victory marks a significant milestone for Braden River High, solidifying its reputation as a powerhouse of musical excellence in the state.
