Bradenton and Palmetto Join Forces for Star-Spangled Fourth of July Celebration

The cities of Bradenton and Palmetto are joining forces this Independence Day to host a riverfront celebration that spans both sides of the Green Bridge, offering a full evening of live entertainment, family-friendly activities, local food, and a dazzling shared fireworks display.
The festivities begin at 5 p.m. on Friday, July 4, transforming both Rossi Park in Bradenton and Riverside Park in Palmetto into patriotic hubs of excitement. Attendees can expect two vibrant events with unique offerings—each contributing to a shared community experience culminating in a fireworks finale over the Manatee River at approximately 9 p.m.
Palmetto Fourth Fest at Riverside Park
Organized by The Big Idea Events and the City of Palmetto, Fourth Fest will feature music from DJ James Thomas, Music Royale, and The Eric Von Band. A Little Firecrackers Kids Zone will keep children entertained with bounce houses, face painting, and crafts, while the Independence Market highlights local artisans and community groups. Visitors can enjoy food trucks in the Freedom Bites Court and relax in the Red, White & Brews Garden. Fireworks will be visible throughout Riverside Park and along the Green Bridge Pier.
Parking & Transportation in Palmetto:
Free public parking is available at First Baptist Church, First United Methodist Church, and in downtown city lots.
Two free trolleys will operate between 5:00 and 10:00 p.m., with stops near 10th Avenue West and Riverside Drive.
Road closures include Riverside Park Boat Ramp and Riverside Park West (closed July 4, 12:00 a.m. to July 5, 12:00 a.m.), and Riverside Drive from U.S. 41 to 10th Avenue West (closed July 4, 8 a.m. to July 5, 12 p.m.).
The Green Bridge will close at 8 p.m. on July 4 and reopen at 10:30 p.m.
Handicap parking is available behind It Works, located at 908 Riverside Drive, with a valid tag.
Bradenton Alive 4th of July Celebration at Rossi Park
Hosted by Bradenton Alive and the City of Bradenton, the Riverwalk celebration will feature live performances by Phoenix 5 and 22N, along with a Kids Play Zone, splash park open late, and open seating on the Forever Lawn. A VIP area will provide shaded seating and exclusive food and beverage options. Food trucks and local vendors will line the waterfront for a festive evening, culminating in a shared fireworks display accompanied by patriotic music synchronized to the fireworks.
Parking & Road Closures in Bradenton:
Free parking is available in downtown garages, Riverwalk area lots, and across from the Manatee Performing Arts Center.
The lot adjacent to Rossi Park will be closed from 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. on July 4.
The Green Bridge will close from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Handicap parking is provided across from the Manatee Performing Arts Center at 502 3rd Ave West with a valid tag.
