Bradenton Area River Regatta Returns with Exciting Events and Road Closures
Bradenton, FL – The highly anticipated Bradenton Area River Regatta returns next weekend, bringing thrilling boat races, live entertainment, and dazzling nighttime spectacles to the waterfront. The event kicks off on Friday, February 21, with festivities stretching into Saturday, February 22.
Residents and visitors should prepare for increased traffic and road closures, especially on Saturday. While Friday evening's fireworks and lighted drone show along the Riverwalk will not prompt road closures, Saturday will see major thoroughfares shut down starting at 4 a.m. Roads will reopen once the races conclude and clean-up is completed.
Saturday Road Closures:
🚧 Green Bridge: Closed to vehicles but open to pedestrians. Free trolley service will operate from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
🚧 9th St. W.: Closed between Manatee Ave. and Green Bridge.
🚧 12th St. W. (Old Main): Closed between Manatee Ave. and 1st Ave. W./Barcarrota Blvd.
🚧 3rd Ave. W.: Eastbound only between 9th St. W. and 1st St./US-41.
