Bradenton Beach city commissioners have approved a second amendment to an interlocal agreement with Manatee County, advancing ongoing hurricane recovery efforts and planned upgrades at the Bradenton Beach Pier.
When the COUNTY agreed to fork over the $2 million without a interlocal agreement, not only on the pier, but for the length of the agreement for the dock to accompany the County ferry that should be in perpetuity
It was not.
Until there is an enter local agreement on the ferry service and using the boat dock, no funds should be further distributed
This all should’ve been done upfront, not an after fact
The fact that they want more money for the ferry dock just goes to show you they had no intentions of letting the county use it in the first place
