The Bradenton City Council will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, Sept. 23, to consider the proposed creation of a new Community Redevelopment Area.
The hearing will begin at 8:30 a.m. at Bradenton City Hall, 101 12th Street West.
Community Redevelopment Areas, commonly known as CRAs, are established to help address conditions within designated areas through coordinated redevelopment efforts. They can provide a framework for infrastructure improvements, encourage private investment and support the long-term economic vitality of neighborhoods and business districts.
Before establishing the proposed CRA, the city must complete a Finding of Necessity process as required under Florida law. The process evaluates conditions within the proposed area to determine whether it meets the legal requirements for redevelopment designation.
Residents, business owners and other community members are encouraged to attend the Sept. 23 hearing to learn more about the proposal and provide input before the City Council.
