Bradenton Kicks Off a Month of Holiday Magic with Markets, Performances, Parades and Santa Visits
Bradenton is ringing in the season with a full lineup of festive events throughout December, bringing markets, performances, family fun, and the return of the Manatee River’s most dazzling holiday tradition.
The month begins on Saturday, December 6, with the Bradenton Public Market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Old Main Street. Shoppers can browse fresh produce, handmade goods, local art, and sample treats from small businesses while enjoying live music. The market offers an ideal place to find unique holiday gifts and seasonal favorites.
Also on Saturday, Santa and Mrs. Claus will appear in the Village of the Arts as part of A Holly Jolly Village Christmas. The pair will visit TVM Gallery at 1227 12th Street West from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., then stroll along 12th Street toward Cottonmouth Southern Kitchen from 1 to 3 p.m., greeting families and posing for photos.
The day continues along the Riverwalk with T3 on Tour, a youth Broadway-style performance troupe, taking the stage at the Mosaic Amphitheater from 5 to 6 p.m. The energetic performance features a medley of musical theatre favorites presented by talented young performers.
As evening settles in, Old Main Street will transform into a Winter Wonderland from 5 to 8 p.m. Falling “snow,” a snow slide, Santa and Mrs. Claus, live performances, games, and festive vendors bring holiday cheer to the heart of downtown. The event is free and designed for families to enjoy the magic of the season.
The celebrations continue the following weekend with the Manatee River Holiday Boat Parade on Saturday, December 13. From 6 to 10 p.m., brightly decorated boats will cruise the Manatee River, competing for top honors in one of the county’s largest holiday events. Spectators can enjoy the illuminated procession from the Bradenton Riverwalk, Twin Dolphin Marina, Green Bridge, or the Palmetto riverfront. Boat registration is free, and participants can sign up at holidayboatparade.org.
Later in the month, Mayor Santa and First Lady Claus will make a special appearance at the Bradenton Public Market on Saturday, December 20, adding even more festive spirit as the holiday approaches.
With markets, music, waterfront entertainment, and opportunities to meet Santa throughout the season, December in Bradenton promises something for every family looking to celebrate close to home.
