Bradenton Kiwanis to Recognize 4-H Speech Contest Winners at Weekly Meeting
The Bradenton Kiwanis Club will welcome winners of the 2026 4-H Public Speaking Contest during its weekly luncheon meeting on Tuesday, May 19, highlighting students from across Manatee County who recently competed in the annual event at the Manatee Fairgrounds.
Students presented original speeches before judges and an audience as part of the countywide competition designed to strengthen communication skills, confidence and leadership abilities among youth participants.
During Tuesday’s meeting, the top speakers in each grade category are expected to deliver their award-winning speeches and receive engraved plaques recognizing their achievements.
Winners in the fourth- and fifth-grade division included Nolan H. of Stewart Elementary in first place, Cooper J. of Lake Manatee Elementary in second place and Zoe C. of Palma Sola Elementary in third place.
In the sixth-grade division, Sofia I. of Manatee School for the Arts earned first place, followed by McKenna C. of Palmetto Charter School in second place, Annalise B. of Life Community School in third place and Glada M. of St. Joseph Catholic School in fourth place.
Bradenton Kiwanis is sponsoring the event alongside Florida Power & Light (FPL) and said the program reflects the organization’s continued support for youth development and leadership opportunities in the community.
