A 64-year-old Bradenton man died Friday night, October 9, after being struck by a pickup truck while crossing U.S. 41 in Manatee County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 9:29 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 41, also known as 14th Street West, and 60th Avenue West.
According to troopers, a 49-year-old Palmetto man was driving a 2014 Ford F-150 northbound in the inside lane of U.S. 41 as he approached the intersection. The driver had a green traffic signal when the collision occurred.
The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries. His identity has not been released.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
