Bradenton Man Arrested for Trespassing and Fraud at Anna Maria Vacation Rental
ANNA MARIA – Devon Keith Guidry, 28, of Bradenton, was arrested on Nov. 11 after being found unlawfully occupying a high-end vacation rental on Maple Avenue in Anna Maria, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO).
Guidry entered the residence at 107 Maple Ave., a property owned by 107 Maple LLC, managed by local developer Shawn Kaleta. A vigilant resident reported seeing Guidry, who was shirtless and wearing black pants, accessing the property. Deputies later discovered him on the third-floor balcony, exiting a bedroom.
The licensed vacation rental, priced at $1,500 per night with a $750 cleaning fee, was unoccupied at the time of the incident. Authorities determined Guidry had entered the property with the intent to defraud the owners and management company, resulting in a financial loss exceeding $1,000.
Guidry was arrested on charges of obtaining lodging with intent to defraud, a third-degree felony. He was transported to the Manatee County Jail, where he remains in custody as of Nov. 17.
Pattern of Similar Offenses
This arrest is the latest in a string of similar incidents involving Guidry. In March, he was arrested and later pled no contest to trespassing at a residential property on North Bay Boulevard in Anna Maria. In July, he was arrested again for trespassing at a vacation rental on Poinsettia Road in Anna Maria, resulting in a misdemeanor conviction.
In a separate case in June 2023, Guidry was arrested in Holmes Beach after being trespassed from a local shopping center. That incident led to convictions on felony charges of carrying a concealed firearm and armed trespass.
The MCSO continues to address repeat offenses in the area, emphasizing the importance of community vigilance in reporting suspicious activity.
