Bradenton Man Killed in Early Morning Sarasota Crash
A 21-year-old Bradenton man died early Saturday morning after a high-speed crash on Northgate Boulevard, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 2:45 a.m. when the driver of a BMW, also a 21-year-old Bradenton resident, lost control of the vehicle while heading westbound at a high rate of speed. The vehicle rotated, mounted a curb, and collided with a tree.
The victim, seated in the rear of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and a front-seat passenger sustained only minor injuries.
The FHP Homicide Unit has launched an investigation into the crash. The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
