A Bradenton man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison following a fatal hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of a pedestrian on State Road 70.
According to court records, 23-year-old Gustavo DeLeon III was convicted of manslaughter and driving without a valid license, causing death. A Manatee County judge imposed a 10-year prison sentence, followed by five years of probation.
Investigators said DeLeon struck a pedestrian on State Road 70 and fled the scene. After an extensive investigation, authorities identified and arrested him in connection with the crash.
