About the Bradenton Marauders
The Bradenton Marauders were established in 2010 as the Class A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates and play their home games at LECOM Park, one of the oldest and most storied ballparks in professional baseball. Originally built in 1923, LECOM Park has hosted spring training for the Pirates since 1969.
The Marauders’ arrival in Bradenton marked the return of full-season minor league baseball to the city for the first time since the Bradenton Growers played in the early 20th century. Since their inaugural season, the team has become a key part of the Manatee County sports scene, winning the Florida State League Championship in 2016.
Known for developing top Pirates prospects, the Marauders have served as a launching pad for players who go on to reach the major leagues. The team continues to provide fans with exciting baseball action and a family-friendly experience each season.
