Bradenton Martial Arts Instructor Sentenced to Prison in Child Sex Case
A Bradenton martial arts instructor has been sentenced to more than five years in prison after pleading no contest to charges of having sexual contact with a 14-year-old student.
Brennan Brown, 25, received a 64-month sentence on August 27, according to court records. Following his release, he will serve two years of probation and is required to register as a sex offender for life.
Brown was arrested on May 6, 2024, after investigators said he engaged in repeated sexual encounters with a minor he met at the Ancient Ways Martial Arts Academy in Bradenton. Authorities reported that the two individuals later continued to communicate through social media and eventually met in person.
The victim disclosed during the investigation that the encounters occurred multiple times. At sentencing, testimony was heard from several witnesses, including the victim’s mother and a doctor who evaluated Brown. The doctor’s assessment indicated he did not believe Brown posed a high risk of reoffending, but the court ultimately imposed a lengthy prison term.
