Bradenton Motorcyclist Killed in Early Morning Crash on U.S. 19
A 57-year-old Bradenton man lost his life early Sunday morning following a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV on U.S. 19 in Manatee County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred around midnight in the eastbound lanes of U.S. 19, just west of Hightower Road. Authorities said the motorcyclist was traveling in the left lane when he lost control, veered onto the shoulder, and overturned.
Investigators reported that the rider was thrown from the motorcycle and came to rest in the roadway. Shortly after, an SUV driven by a 39-year-old man from St. Petersburg, who was also traveling eastbound, struck the motorcyclist as he lay in the lane.
