Bradenton Police Arrest Armed Felon During Early Morning Car Burglary
An early morning report of suspicious activity in the Highland Lakes subdivision led to the arrest of a convicted felon on multiple charges. Officers from the Bradenton Police Department’s Crime Reduction Team, alongside patrol officers, responded to calls of individuals attempting to open car doors in the neighborhood.
Thanks to a detailed description provided by a homeowner, officers quickly apprehended 26-year-old Tristen Shillady hiding behind a residence. A search revealed that Shillady was carrying a backpack containing a firearm and stolen items taken from an unlocked vehicle. The stolen property was promptly returned to its owner.
Shillady now faces multiple charges, including armed burglary, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm while committing a felony. Meanwhile, the search continues for his accomplice.
