Bradenton Police Department Shares Progress on New Headquarters
The Bradenton Police Department has released an update on the construction of its new headquarters, which is now underway on 6th Avenue West, between 2nd and 3rd Streets.
Work on the secured parking structure is nearly complete, marking a significant milestone in the project. Construction has also begun on the main building, a two-story, 50,388-square-foot facility designed to expand access for the community and support officers with modern resources.
The headquarters will feature state-of-the-art technology, improved space for operations, and dedicated areas for training and public events. Officials expect the new building to open in late 2026.
The current headquarters has been in use since November 1998, making this project the department’s first major facility upgrade in nearly three decades. The new space is intended to meet the city’s growing needs while providing a modern and efficient base of operations for the department.
