Bradenton Police Investigating Homicide After Woman Found Dead in Traffic Crash
The Bradenton Police Department has launched a homicide investigation after a woman was discovered dead at the scene of a reported traffic crash Saturday night.
Officers responded to the 2100 block of 8th Avenue East around 8:30 p.m. on September 28 following reports of a crash. When they arrived, they found a middle-aged woman with severe injuries that investigators determined were inconsistent with a traffic accident. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives, along with the Manatee Homicide Investigation Unit, have assumed responsibility for the case. Authorities believe the incident was isolated, though details surrounding the circumstances remain limited.
