Bradenton Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Landscaping Equipment Theft Suspect
The Bradenton Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect accused of stealing approximately $7,000 worth of landscaping equipment from a business in east Bradenton earlier this month.
According to investigators, the theft occurred during the early morning hours of May 12 in the 2600 block of 19th Avenue East. Surveillance cameras captured the suspect cutting the lock off a trailer before taking multiple pieces of landscaping equipment.
Police said the suspect made several trips by bicycle while removing the stolen items and also attempted to cover security cameras located on the property.
The suspect was seen wearing a blue Under Armour balaclava during the incident.
Authorities said the stolen equipment included several Echo-brand tools and machines, including two backpack blowers, a pressure washer, hedge trimmers, lawn trimmers and other landscaping equipment.
