Bradenton Police Seize Half-Kilo of Cocaine, 8 Firearms in Drug Investigation
Two convicted felons are being held without bond following a drug investigation that led Bradenton police to seize approximately half a kilogram of cocaine, eight firearms and $14,000 from a home in unincorporated Manatee County.
The Bradenton Police Department Narcotics Unit arrested 30-year-old Augustus Robert and 39-year-old Tydamien Jolly after detectives executed a search warrant Thursday at a residence on 26th Lane East.
According to police, an undercover narcotics investigation established probable cause that Robert and Jolly were selling drugs from the residence. Narcotics detectives, additional Bradenton police detectives and the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team participated in executing the warrant.
Investigators reported recovering eight firearms, approximately half a kilogram of cocaine and $14,000 from the home.
Robert, who has a previous armed robbery conviction in Miami-Dade County, was arrested on charges of trafficking in cocaine; two counts of selling, manufacturing, delivering or possessing with intent to sell, manufacture or deliver a controlled substance; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; and use of a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony.
Jolly, who has previous felony drug convictions in Sarasota County, was arrested on charges of trafficking in cocaine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Both men are being held without bond.
