Bradenton Police to Offer Free Citizen Firearm Safety Classes This Spring
The Bradenton Police Department will host a series of free citizen firearm safety classes for City of Bradenton residents this spring, offering individuals with little to no prior firearm experience the opportunity to learn safe and responsible handling practices.
The one-day classes will be taught by certified law enforcement firearms instructors and will cover concealed carry laws, firearm safety, range safety, and fundamental shooting techniques. Firearms and ammunition will be provided for participants. The program is funded through a grant from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Firearm Safety Training Program.
Residents interested in participating must complete a background check form before acceptance into the class. As the department finalizes the class schedule, eligible participants will receive a list of available dates and may select their preferred session.
The classes are designed to promote safe firearm ownership and handling within the community. Additional details, including the background check form and submission instructions, are available at bradentonpd.com/citizen-firearm-safety-class.
