As the 2025-26 school year begins, the City of Bradenton is reactivating its School Speed Zone Camera Program to enhance student safety around school campuses. Starting August 11, automated cameras will monitor vehicle speeds and issue violations at multiple school zones across the city.
The cameras will be active at the following locations:
Ballard Elementary
Bradenton Christian
JP Miller Elementary
Manatee Elementary
Manatee High School
Moody Elementary
Sugg Middle School
Prine Elementary
GD Rogers Elementary
Sea Breeze Elementary
These enforcement cameras will operate throughout the entire school day. Vehicles exceeding the posted speed limit by 10 mph or more within active school zones will trigger a violation, which is then mailed to the vehicle’s registered owner.
School zone speed limits and specific enforcement times for each campus can be found at bradentonpd.com/schoolzonecameras.
The city urges all drivers to remain alert, slow down in school zones, and help ensure a safe start to the academic year for students and school staff alike.
Not about safety at all, purely a money grab! Vote them out!
