Bradenton to Celebrate Grand Opening of New Fire Station #2 with Family Event
The City of Bradenton is inviting the community to celebrate the grand opening of Fire Station #2 on Wednesday, October 22, at 5:30 p.m. The new facility, located at 2233 Manatee Avenue East, will open its doors for residents to tour and explore as part of a community celebration.
The event will feature guided tours of the modern fire station, opportunities to meet Bradenton Fire Department firefighters, and a Touch-A-Truck zone where visitors can explore fire engines and other emergency vehicles.
Families can enjoy free food, candy, and giveaways throughout the evening. Children ages 12 and under are encouraged to attend in costume, with extra treats for those dressed as firefighters.
Adding to the festivities, Marty the Marauder — mascot of the Bradenton Marauders baseball team — will make a special appearance to greet guests. The event will also feature an on-site Blood Bus for those wishing to donate blood and support local healthcare needs.
City staff will be available to share information about upcoming infrastructure and neighborhood projects, giving residents a chance to learn more about what’s ahead for their community.
The grand opening of Fire Station #2 marks a milestone in Bradenton’s continued investment in public safety and community engagement, offering a family-friendly evening that highlights the city’s commitment to serving its residents.
