Bradenton Woman Dies in Early Morning Crash on Cortez Road

A 25-year-old Bradenton woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Manatee County.

The Florida Highway Patrol reported the woman was driving eastbound on Cortez Road West, just east of 44th Avenue East, around 1:48 a.m. when she lost control of her sedan. The vehicle veered onto the grass shoulder and struck both a light pole and a utility pole.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers said the crash remains under investigation.
