Bradenton Woman Killed After Car Strikes Tree on Ninth Street East
A 38-year-old Bradenton woman was killed early Friday morning after the car she was driving struck a tree along Ninth Street East, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around midnight on Ninth Street East, just south of 50th Avenue Drive East.
Troopers said the woman was driving a Honda Civic southbound when the vehicle traveled left across the roadway, crossed the median curb and crashed into an oak tree in the center median.
Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene, but the driver was pronounced dead.
The Florida Highway Patrol’s Homicide Unit is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
