Bradenton’s 122nd Birthday Celebration to Feature Historical Records Library Open House
As part of the City of Bradenton’s 122nd birthday festivities, the Manatee Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller is welcoming the public to a special open house at the Historical Records Library on Saturday, May 17, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Held in conjunction with the birthday bash organized by Realize Bradenton, the event aims to celebrate the city’s rich heritage and longstanding community traditions. Visitors can begin their experience at the Clerk’s booth during the Bradenton Public Market, located at the corner of Old Main Street and 4th Avenue West. There, they can learn more about the Historical Resources Department and receive walking directions to the library, which is just two blocks away.
The open house will showcase curated exhibits highlighting key moments in Bradenton’s development since its incorporation as a city in 1903. Guests will also gain insight into the Historical Records Library’s vital role in safeguarding documents and materials that chronicle the area's past.
To sweeten the experience, free birthday cake will be served at the library while supplies last.
