Brazilian anti-corrosion technology company Rustless Technology has selected Manatee County for its North American headquarters, with plans to eventually employ about 200 workers.
The company is searching for a permanent location in the county and will initially operate from the International Trade Hub at SeaPort Manatee.
Rustless specializes in technology designed to protect metal structures and equipment from corrosion and extend their useful life. Its technology can be used in ports, marine facilities, buildings, energy operations and other industrial settings.
The company’s decision was announced Sept. 28 during an event at the Manatee Chamber of Commerce’s Lakewood Ranch office hosted by the Bradenton Area Economic Development Corp.
Rustless plans to use its Manatee County headquarters to support its expansion into the North American market and serve clients in the United States and internationally.
The company has worked with clients including the Brazilian Navy and companies such as Bosch, John Deere, Siemens and Unilever.
Oxford Group USA, an international business development firm based at the International Trade Hub at SeaPort Manatee, helped introduce Rustless to opportunities in the area.
A permanent location and timeline for reaching the planned 200-employee workforce have not yet been announced.
