Bridge a Life’s 15th Annual Superhero 5K Returns in 2026 to Champion Children in Foster Care
Capes, costumes, and compassion will collide on February 7, 2026, as the 15th Annual Superhero 5K & Fun Run powers up at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota. Hosted by Bridge a Life, the community-wide event invites people of all ages to run, walk, or fly through a morning of purpose-filled fun, all while supporting children and families impacted by foster care and adoption.
This family-friendly event kicks off at 8:30 a.m. on The Island at Nathan Benderson Park (5851 Nathan Benderson Circle). It features a timed 5K, a 1-mile fun run, and festivities that celebrate everyday heroes. Participants are encouraged to suit up as their favorite superheroes and unite in a shared mission: raising awareness and resources for vulnerable youth in our community.
Bridge a Life, a local nonprofit founded in 2011, works year-round to equip and support foster and adoptive families with trauma-informed training, mentorship, and tangible resources. The Superhero Race is one of its signature events, bringing visibility to the needs of foster children while raising vital funds to support the organization’s programming.
Whether you're running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, your participation makes a difference. Every registration helps Bridge a Life further its mission of providing hope for children and support for families.
