Carvana to Open Manatee County Vehicle Center, Create 100 New Jobs
Online used car retailer Carvana is expanding its presence in Manatee County with the addition of a new inspection and reconditioning center that is expected to create approximately 100 new jobs.
The Arizona-based company announced it will establish the operation at its existing ADESA Sarasota wholesale auto auction facility, located at 6005 24th St. E. in Bradenton. The approximately 60-acre site has served wholesale auto auction customers for the past 20 years and will continue operating auction services while adding retail vehicle inspection and reconditioning capabilities.
Carvana currently employs more than 1,100 people across Florida and is actively hiring for positions in the Sarasota-Bradenton area, including auto body repair technicians, automotive painters, cosmetic inspectors, mechanics, shop foremen and CDL drivers. The company said the positions do not require a college degree and include skilled and entry-level opportunities with benefits.
Before vehicles are listed for sale, Carvana subjects them to a comprehensive reconditioning process that includes a 150-point inspection, any necessary repairs or maintenance, detailing and 360-degree photography. The new Manatee County facility will expand the company’s national reconditioning network while increasing local inventory available to customers.
The expansion is expected to improve delivery times for customers throughout Florida’s Gulf Coast, with some buyers eligible for same-day vehicle delivery. Wholesale customers using the ADESA auction site will also benefit from enhanced on-site inspection and reconditioning services while retaining access to traditional in-lane and digital auctions.
Carvana sold more than 596,000 vehicles in 2025, generated more than $20 billion in annual revenue and has completed more than 5 million customer transactions since launching in 2013. The Manatee County location will become the company’s second inspection and reconditioning center in Florida, joining its existing facility in Haines City.
