Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue Hosts Engaging Open House Event in Bradenton
On Saturday, November 16th, Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue will open its doors to the Bradenton community for an exciting, family-friendly Open House event. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., residents are invited to visit the fire station at 6601 53rd Ave. W. to learn more about fire safety, meet local heroes, and enjoy various activities for all ages.
The Open House will feature an array of interactive displays and demonstrations aimed at educating the public on fire prevention and safety practices. Among the highlights, attendees can experience the Fire Safety House and the Inflatable Safety House, designed to simulate emergency scenarios in a safe and controlled environment. Aspiring young firefighters can participate in the Junior Firefighter Combat Challenge, putting their skills to the test, while others can enjoy the popular "Dunk a Firefighter" booth.
In addition to educational exhibits, Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue will offer a live fire demonstration, providing an up-close look at how firefighters manage fire emergencies. Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet the Fire Chief, gain insights into the daily life of a firefighter, and learn about the department's critical role in protecting the community.
There will be a bike helmet giveaway for young visitors, promoting safety on the roads. Food and drinks will be available, adding to the festive atmosphere.
