Chalk Art Festival Brings Color, Creativity, and Community to Downtown Palmetto April 18–19
Palmetto Downtown Main Street will host the Chalk Art Festival on April 18–19, 2026, transforming Sutton Park and surrounding streets into a vibrant, walkable outdoor arts destination. The two-day celebration will feature professional chalk artists from across Florida, along with a special-edition Farmers Market, food trucks, live entertainment, kids’ art zones, local shopping, and full weekend community engagement.
Throughout the weekend, artists will create large-scale chalk murals directly on sidewalks and streets, turning Downtown Palmetto into an open-air gallery filled with color and creativity. Families and visitors can enjoy hands-on activities for children, browse artisan vendors, and sample a variety of food while enjoying live performances that enhance the festival atmosphere.
The Chalk Art Festival is designed to drive visitors into the heart of the city, support small businesses, and showcase Downtown Palmetto as a growing hub for arts and culture. By activating public spaces and encouraging foot traffic, the event highlights the area’s unique character while strengthening connections between artists, residents, and local merchants.
Sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses and organizations interested in supporting the festival and gaining visibility during the high-traffic weekend. Vendors are also invited to participate, offering goods, art, and food to festival-goers.
Additional information about sponsorships and vendor applications is available through Palmetto Downtown Main Street’s Chalk Art Festival pages.
