Circle of Security Parenting Course Offered Virtually This Winter
Parents, caregivers, and professionals who work with children will have the opportunity to strengthen their understanding of children’s emotional needs through an eight-week Circle of Security parenting course offered by The Florida Center Training Institute.
The virtual course will be held every Wednesday from January 21 through March 11, 2026, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The program is designed for parents and caregivers of children from birth through age 11, as well as professionals seeking to deepen their knowledge of child development and attachment. The cost to participate is $99, and certificates will be provided upon completion of the course.
Circle of Security focuses on helping adults better understand and respond to children’s emotional and behavioral needs. Participants will learn how secure relationships support healthy growth and development, how to recognize and respond to children’s cues, and how to balance encouraging independence with providing emotional support when needed. The course also emphasizes building a strong foundation for long-term success by strengthening attachment and emotional security in early childhood.
The sessions will be led by Jailene Soto, MS, an early childhood mental health consultant with The Florida Center for Early Childhood. Soto brings professional experience in public health and family education, along with several years of work supporting children and families from diverse backgrounds.
Registration information and details about additional training opportunities are available through The Florida Center Training Institute’s website at floridacentertraining.org.
