City of Palmetto Announces New Community Park at 14th Avenue West and 10th Street West
Exciting developments are underway in Palmetto as city leaders unveil plans for a brand-new community park at the corner of 14th Avenue West and 10th Street West. Designed as a vibrant hub for recreation, wellness, and family fun, the park will feature amenities for all ages and interests.
Highlights of the new park include:
Pickleball and basketball courts for active recreation
A colorful, modern playground to keep children engaged and entertained
A scenic walking trail lined with trees and benches for peaceful strolls
A large multi-use field for sports, events, or community gatherings
A covered pavilion perfect for picnics, parties, and neighborhood get-togethers
The space is thoughtfully planned to enhance the quality of life for Palmetto residents and visitors, encouraging outdoor activity and bringing the community together in a safe, welcoming environment.
The City of Palmetto is leading the project in partnership with Fawley Bryant Architecture. City officials expect construction to begin later this year.
Mayor Dan West and the Palmetto City Commission—including Tamara Cornwell, Sunshine Joiner, Harold Smith, Scott Whitaker, and Vice-Mayor Brian Williams—are championing the project as a transformative addition to the city's green spaces.
Once complete, the 14th Avenue Park will stand as a symbol of Palmetto's continued investment in its neighborhoods and the well-being of its citizens. Stay tuned for more updates as construction milestones are announced.
