City of Palmetto Breaks Ground on Patriot Park Community Recreation Project
The City of Palmetto has officially broken ground on Patriot Park, marking the beginning of construction on a new community park that will provide recreation and gathering opportunities for residents for years to come.
Named in honor of the nation’s history and dedicated to recognizing those who came before, the more than three-acre park is being developed as a destination for people of all ages.
Plans for Patriot Park include tennis and pickleball courts, a basketball court, a pavilion, a walking track, and expansive green space designed for both active recreation and relaxation.
City officials say the project reflects Palmetto’s continued investment in parks and public amenities while creating a welcoming space where families, friends, and neighbors can gather, stay active, and enjoy the outdoors.
Once completed, Patriot Park is expected to become a central community destination, offering a variety of recreational opportunities and open spaces that will serve residents and visitors for generations.
